A Perfect Summer Wedding at The Gables in Long Beach Island
As a wedding planner, I’ve seen countless love stories unfold, but there’s something truly special about this couple that will stay with me forever. The bride and groom are the kind of gentle souls who radiate kindness and care—not just for each other, but for everyone around them. From the moment I met them, I could feel their deep connection, a quiet but powerful love that seemed to wrap everyone in its warmth. Their love wasn’t loud or showy; it was tender, steady, and deeply felt.
When Anna first walked into The Gables, a historic Victorian inn on Long Beach Island, New Jersey, she instantly knew it was her dream venue. Having grown up in Iowa, she was struck by how much it reminded her of her late grandmother’s Victorian home, with its Steinway baby grand piano that brought a wave of nostalgia to her special day. Anna and Brendan, now both residents of New York City, embarked on their journey to forever with an engagement ring from my personal favorite designer, Ring Concierge.
They exchanged vows at St. Francis Church in a heartfelt Mass, surrounded by close family and friends, their love reflected in the intimate, warm ceremony.
The Gables was transformed into a vision of understated elegance, with ivory linens, delicate gold accents, and lush floral arrangements of white and pink roses. The bride’s vision for the day was clear from our first meeting: she wanted everything to feel timeless yet personal. The reception tables, adorned with bud vases and tapered candles, created an elegant look that felt refined without being overdone. A statement floral piece in front of the piano, as you enter The Gables, was especially important to the bride, as the piano held special memories of her grandmother.
IMO floral chandeliers are more than decor—they’re a conversation piece! This chandelier made a beautiful statement piece on the Gables front porch.
As Ariana Grande’s Moonlight played softly in the background, the bride swayed to the music, singing along with a shy smile.
Planning this wedding was a privilege, not just because of the beautiful details we brought to life, but because of the couple at the heart of it. Their gentle spirits, their care for each other, and their love for their family and friends made this day more than just a celebration—it was a testament to what love can be. I left that night with a full heart, grateful to have played a small part in their story! <3
